Published 23 Jun 2016, 9:46 am, by Sara Sullivan

Dear students

As the first time we offered this Elective it was fully booked out, we have scheduled another one as follows:

Ethical Bystander Elective: 4 August, 10-12 noon.

This two hour training session is part of UTS’s commitment to building a culture of safety and respect for all students and staff.

The session will highlight the importance of being an active and ethical bystander in situations where someone’s safety or respect may be compromised and will also discuss specific skills that can be developed in being an active bystander.

Please note there is a maximum of 16 places for this Elective, 8 local and 8 international students.

If you book a place and then find you cannot attend, please cancel in good time to allow another student to take your place.

Bookings can be made via the Events tab, as per usual when booking into Workshops.

Thanks,

Accomplish Team.

Please note, there is a 3.30pm session on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Attention all Events and Tourism students who are at, or near the end of their degree

Published 15 Jun 2016, 2:38 pm, by Sara Sullivan

Dear students

The University is currently carrying out a project, aimed at identifying which subjects within our Business undergraduate degrees offer internship or internship-like experiences.

Student help is sought for this project as follows:

The requirement is for students to go through the subject outlines of the subjects they have completed, or are looking to complete, and give an indication of which subjects offer an internship or internship-like experience, and the percentage which is assessable. Obviously students can contact the subject co-ordinators if they require further information.

We are currently targeting events and tourism students who are at, or near the end of their degree.

To express an interest in participating, please contact Malcolm McKenzie on mjm6353@gmail.com.
As we are in exam period currently, please advise in your email the first date you will be able to participate.

Thanks,

Accomplish Team.
